Is this video card compatible for my desktop?

I am planning to buy an nvidia geforce gtx 550 ti 2gb. My desktop has an old pentium 4 3.2ghz (dual core) processor and a 2gd ddr2 ram. Is my video card a good choice? Will my desktop experience "bottle necking"?. If not compatible pls recommend another video card. Thanks.|||Again, that is dependent on your motherboard for compatibility, not the processor. If your motherboard has a PCI Express x16 slot, then yes. If not, no

You will probably have some bottlenecking due to your older processor|||its not pentium 4 dual core it must be either p4 or pentium dual core plz mention ur processor model number as it will be more easy to understand..if its p4 3.2 ghz single core then dont buy gtx 550 Ti it will kill ur cpu...if u have a dual core and i doubt if its 3.2 still dont go for that card it wud still bottleneck ur cpu..check if ur motherboard has a PCI express x16 slot..go for 5670 1 gb or 6670 1 gb theyre the best budget gfx cards..but pls check ur cpu and motherboard coz u need a good dual core to play games smoothly...
