What video card is better for gaming with Dell Studio XPS 8100 Desktop?

what video card is better for gaming with the PC 1 GB ATI Radeon ™ HD 5770 graphics

or the Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 1.8GB Single??|||The GTX 260 is better for today's games but less future-proof. But honestly, if you're configuring a system from Dell I would choose NEITHER!

First of all, Dell overcharges for their video card upgrades. You can get a Radeon 5770 for $160 at NewEgg. A GTX 260 costs about $180 (the 1.8gb model is a waste of money)

But why buy a GTX 260 when you can get Nvidia's new GTX 460, which does support DirectX 11!

I recommend ordering the XPS system with the cheapest video option Dell offers (integrated graphics), then buy these online:

That combo is much better, and probably costs about the same.|||The GTX 260 is faster. The drawbacks are it sucks more power, runs hotter and doesn't support DX11. If you're not concerened about DX11 support or running a 3rd monitor, the GTX 260 is the better overall performer.

http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_p…|||It really depends on the resolution you play at and the games you play. They should perform about the same. the 5770 does support DX11 while the GTX 260 does not, but nevertheless the 5770 is not powerful enough to utilize DX11 efficiently anyway, so it will not be a big loss over GTX 260. If you do not have a preference then go with GTX 260.

Hope this helps.|||Best graphics card for your system is Nvidia , i think AMD is not good for your PC
