I have a hp pavilion 754n desktop what kind of gaming would it support if I got a video card for it?

The specs:

2.53 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 processor

504 mb of RAM (to be upgraded soon) possibly to 1 or 2 gb

Also if you could let me know which video card would be best that would be great thanks.|||Your motherboard has an AGP slot and PCI slots. So, your choice of video cards is limited to those types.

All of the higher end games requier high end video card that are only available on PCIe cards. But, moderate to lower end games will play very nicely.

Any of these would be a nice upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…|||Hi there, as you have a intel processer and you didn't mention about your mother board it depends. As if it is a old mother board it might have a AGP or PCI slot but if its new they have both slots for only in PCI, I'll recommend you to go for NVIDIA and for AGP you should go for ATI as they are the best in there type. I myself have a PCI slot in my motherboard and i am a online gamer so i need high performance graphic card which can support all good graphic games.I am using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465 graphic card it supports upto 1024 MB at standard memory configration. And has maximum resolution 2560x1600 which is more then enough for the new upgraded Monitors.|||older mother boards have AGP or PCI slot in new mb there are both slots for only in PCI, it would be better for you to go for NVIDIA graphics you should. Now a days NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465 graphic card that supports upto 1024 MB at standard memory configration with max resolution 2560x1600 is more preferable.
