Can I can the video card switch the video card in my laptop for the one in my desktop?

I want to play Halo / RC 3/AoE 3 on my Desktop.

My Desktop(XP) meets all the minimum system requirements and besides ram meets all recommended requirements. But my Video card is missing several components. (Athlon XP 64)

On my Laptop (VISTA) it barely meets min requirements for the games b/c processor only 1.73-1.84GHz. But the video card works fine. (Acer CeleronM)

Can i do the switch?

My video card is a VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP (VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP) (64MB)

Video HW Transform & Lighting: NO

Laptop is Intel 453|||No. Laptops and desktops use completely different video cards. And anyway, the VIA/S3G IGP is an Integrated Graphics Processor; in other words, you don't have an actual video card, your motherboard allocates regular RAM for video.|||No. They are completely different.|||No, they have different ports..

Sorry.|||You can't. It's completely different hardware. Unless you have the same slot on the laptop, that you would have on a desktop you are just wasting your time thinking you will be able to switch them out.|||it will not work. in fact, it would work much worse than the other graphics card. the memory in the video card specs refers to the frame buffer thats built into the card, not the shared system memory. and thats if you could even remove an IGP...it's a very tiny chip built into the motherboard to give you basic 3d capability. any GPU you can buy today would give you better performance than that. and if you don't have enough RAM to meet the minimum requirements, then don't play the game. with those requirements it's not a question of good graphics or smooth framerates. in fact it's not even a question of bad graphics or average framerates. it's a question of being able to run the game without crashing your computer. if you don't have enough power in any regard (but if it's a dual core, and the game requires a 3.2GHz single core, then you're fine) then just simply don't play it.
