the video card is.. BFG - NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT OC Graphics Card
My computer is a Desktop Hp m8000n. everything stock . plz Help me n tell me what power supply do i need n if theres anythin else i need let me kno thanks people plz help thanks|||The thing is, performance video cards like the 8800GT produce lots of heat and Dell/Compaq/Gateway cases are quite small and have horrid cooling with a single rear fan (small 80mm). They're made to cool a stock Dell running office apps, not CPU / graphics intensive games. Your best bet is to spend less on the PSU ($120 is overkill) and ALSO buy a decent case that has good airflow. Heat is what kills and shortens the life of electronic components.
Absolute best name brand power supply for the money ($49 after rebate):

It has everything a quality PSU should have:
450watts
80%+ effeciency (= less heat)
33 amps on the +12v rail (could even power an 8800 Ultra)
Quality internals
Long braided / sheathed cables
5-year no hassel warranty

Corsair is a top-tier memory and power supply seller.
The PSU's they sell are actually built by the famed Seasonic power supply company.
As for a decent case with multiple fans, these are your best choices:
$90
Very high quality all-aluminum Lian Li case, with two 120mm ball-bearing cooling fans:

$45 and $50
Nice looking Coolermaster case with 80mm intake and 120mm exhaust fans:

So, I would buy the Corsair 450vx AND the Coolermaster case and switch over the motherboard / hard drive / DVD burner over to it. You'll have a cool running PC with plenty of juice for the 8800GT (and even another hard drive or two).|||You don't need a high watts power supply for that card. Just relax, buy the card, put it in the slot and enjoy.
