When you need a new video card (Sims 3) for a desktop computer, do you download it or physically buy it?

Do I get it off of a website or go to a store to install it? Thanks.|||You will need to buy it, and install it. It is hardware, you will need to open your computer case and install it, then install or download a video driver for it. Make sure you have the proper power supply to support the card.

Below I have listed info for Sim 3, including list of cards, enjoy

At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content

For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires at least:

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly. Intel integrated chipsets featuring underclocked parts will not perform adequately.

Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants will have low settings selected, but should run satisfactorily.

Please note that attempting to play the game using video hardware that isn’t listed above may result in reduced performance, graphical issues or cause the game to not run at all.|||You cannot download a video card its simply impossible. Drivers are down loadable I think you got the two confused. If your interested in a quality video card I recommend doing quite a bit of research before you go out to a store and buy one there are many types and you want to make sure you get the right one that you need to run the game Sims 3.|||Sims 3 is a game, not a video card. A video card is a physical piece of hardware that cannot be downloaded. Sims 3 is technically a bunch of 1's and 0's, so you can either download it or buy it.|||You can't download it. It's a piece of physical hardware that goes inside the computer.

You can buy the graphics card online from newegg.com or tigerdirect.com, or whatever, and then once you receive it take it a shop for them to install it.|||a video card i hardward and you cannot download 3d objects yet. i suggest going to www.newegg.com and searching video cards. This one will be able to play it with no problems. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…|||A video card is a physical piece of hardware...you can't download it. As I can tell you don't know much in this field of computers...I suggest taking it to Geek Squad at Best Buy and let them do it for you.|||you have to buy it.search ebay or amazon or whatever but you cant just download it,its the game that you download .its simple man:->

i would recommend to check the supported video card list in the sims 3 manual|||you have to purchase it physically but all of them are different....you need to know what kind of expansion slots you have on your motherboard ex. PCI AGP PCI-E|||physically buy it from the Internet or a retail store

Newegg.com or Tiger Direct.com are your best bets.|||It's hardware, you buy it and install in your computer.|||you buy one|||You go the replicator and say "Tea, Earl Gray, hot". That should do it.
