Video card for two monitors simultaneous?

My computer:

Desktop

Aspire T310

Operating System: Windows XP

I would like to replace the video card (SIS 661FX_760_741_M661FX_M760_M741) on my computer with one suitable for two monitors simultaneously.

Which video card is should buy?

By installing a new video card I'll have problems with CD system and CD recovery ?|||First find out what kind of slots you have available, either agp, pci or pci Exrpess

According to:

http://www.acersupport.com/desktop/aspir…

you have 3 pci slots and 1 agp.

Right now, you are limited to a max of a pci video card with 256mb, as pci express is the new standard only the latest cards can be used on those slots.

Once you install it the card you will be able to use one monitor on the card, and another on the system video.

Do a backup once you have everything running, otherwise, yes, it will be a pain in the a$$ trying to reinstall everything if anything should happen|||provided ur motherboard accept it, an 8800GT would handle dual display configurations, without problem, and is available right now online at various merchants for under $200.|||nvidia geforce works with 2 monitors, they are not that expensive and work well, as for system recovery, just do a system back-up, and burn it to a disk, make sure it's a re writable, so you can do it every couple of months, the system will change that often when you install up-dates for programs etc, you should'nt have problems with recovery anyway, because the video card will have it's own drivers and they can be re-installed after the recovery, best thing is, dont do any thing that will need a recovery in the first place
