Need help picking out a video card for my desktop?
The video card in my HP a730n is going bad and I have no idea what to buy to replace it . It says it has a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 card in it right now .Dont know what that means. Also I just bought a 19 inch Acer monitor with a DVI cable .My old video card doesnt have a dvi port .I just want something decent and cheap. I wouldnt even care just to replace my old card but I cant find it anywhere Maybe I'm looking up something wrong? Please help|||It's an integrated graphics chip you have on the motherboard. You need to check HP's website to see what available slots you have on your motherboard for a graphics card. Check to see if it's PCI, AGP, or PCI-e. You want PCI-e to get a newer card that will support DirectX 10.
